چکیده
Summary We study the problem of diffraction by a right-angled no-contrast penetrable wedge means two-complex-variable Wiener–Hopf approach. Specifically, analyticity properties unknown (spectral) functions equation are studied. show that these spectral can be analytically continued onto two-complex dimensional manifold, and unveil their singularities in C2. To do so, integral representation formulae for given thoroughly used. It is shown novel concept additive crossing holds problem, we reformulate physical as functional using this concept.

Diffraction by a right-angled impedance wedge
[1] A plane electromagnetic wave is incident at an oblique (skew) angle on a wedge of open angle 3p/2 with scalar face impedances, the same on both faces. When the theory previously developed for wedges of arbitrary angle with tensor face impedances is specialized to this case, the analysis simplifies, and the resulting expressions for the geometrical optics, surface wave and diffracted fields ...
متن کاملDiffraction by a right-angled impedance wedge: an edge source formulation.
This paper concerns the frequency domain problem of diffraction of a plane wave incident on an infinite right-angled wedge on which impedance (absorbing) boundary conditions are imposed. It is demonstrated that the exact Sommerfeld-Malyuzhinets contour integral solution for the diffracted field can be transformed to a line integral over a physical variable along the diffracting edge. This integ...

The time-harmonic electromagnetic field in an electrically conductive right-angled wedge due to an inductive excitation by circular coil in air has been calculated. Using a formulation in Cartesian coordinates, the problem domain is truncated in a dimension whose axis is normal to a wedge face, and an approximate series solution found using elementary functions satisfying Maxwell’s equations in...
متن کاملVelocity continuation by spectral methods
I apply Fourier and Chebyshev spectral methods to derive accurate and efficient algorithms for velocity continuation. As expected, the accuracy of the spectral methods is noticeably superior to that of the finite-difference approach. Both methods apply a transformation of the time axis to squared time. The Chebyshev method is slightly less efficient than the Fourier method, but has less problem...
متن کاملE-Polarized Diffraction by Dielectric Wedge
Geometrical optics (GO), the most widely used tool in analysis of high frequency electromagnetic problems, provides the first term of an asymptotic series solution to the Maxwell's equations [1]. It is implemented completely by employing the ordinary ray-tracing technique. To include the second asymptotic term systematically, Keller [2] suggested a generalization of the Fermat's principle on di...
